To and From Indira Ghandi International Airport
Participants are expected to arrange their transportaion from and to the aiport on their own. New Delhi airport is accessible via metro, bus and taxi service. More information is available below and on the airport website.
New Delhi Metro:
The New Delhi Metro is easy to navigate and reasonably priced, but it does not cover all parts of the city. The closest metro station to JNU Campus is Hauz Khas Metro Station. Please see the Metro website for a route map: www.delhimetrorail.com
Buses:
Buses are among the cheapest ways to get around Delhi. Buses are run by State-owned Delhi Transport Corporation (DTC). Bus fares are typically denominated in 5, 10, 15, 20 and 25 rupees, depending on the type of bus and the route.
Taxis:
Taxis are readily available in Delhi, most operated by the DTC, the Indian Tourism Ministry and various private operators. To hire a taxi, one may go to a nearby taxi stand or telephone a taxi service provider. Some reliable taxi companies are:
